Artois Methanisation Project
In partnership with Veolia and SEDE Environment, APRO Industrie has manufactured and installed several tanks for the waste methanisation unit "Artois Méthanisation" at Graincourt-les-Havrincourt in Pas-de-Calais, France.
APRO tanks
The anaerobic digestion unit has been operational since 4 April 2012. This project, led by APRO Industrie, includes the construction and insulation of a 1,300 m3 hydrolysis basin, a 4,350 m3 digester, and a 1,200 m3 post-digester equipped with a double-membrane gasometer. The assembly is made of vitrified steel panels to ensure a long service life and good resistance.
Features and Performance
Occupying an area of 9,000 m 2, the unit annually processes 32,000 tons of waste. It produces:
7,000 tons of stabilized digestate per year, used for the organic soil amendment of the region.
8,000 MWh of electricity per year, equivalent to supplying 2,700 homes.
3.5 million m3 of upgraded biogas.
A release equivalent to 2,000 tons of CO avoided.
Investment and Environmental Impact
This project, representing an investment of 8 million euros, significantly contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions while promoting sustainable waste management.
