Why Treat Leachates?
Leachate is a liquid generated by the combined action of rainwater infiltration and the decomposition of buried waste. It contains nitrogen-based pollutants (ammonia, NH₄), carbon-based pollutants (organic matter, COD), and heavy metals. Biological and/or physico-chemical treatment is therefore necessary before the leachate can be discharged into the environment. APRO Industrie’s tanks provide effective and customisable solutions for this application.

Our glass-fused-to-steel tanks are particularly suited for leachate storage and treatment. The glass-fused coating provides excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for storing liquids with high suspended solids, strong mineralisation, high conductivity, and widely varying pH levels.
