Mastic Sealing
APRO Industrie provides sealing solutions using mastic and elastomer sealing systems to meet specific requirements depending on the characteristics of the stored liquid. In this system, the metal shell of the tank serves both as the structural support and the sealing surface, providing structure while in combination with the sealing system with the gasket. This process is particularly suitable for tanks where the stored liquid is in direct contact with the steel or its protective coating.
- High resistance to mechanical stress
- Reliable watertight sealing
- Resistance to extreme chemical environments (highly acidic or alkaline environments)
- Excellent performance at very low temperatures
- Easy installation without additional sealing compounds
How mastic sealing works
Mastic sealing involves applying a bead of sealant compound between the tank panels. As it cures, the mastic polymerises and hardens, forming a watertight barrier resistant to mechanical and chemical stress. This type of seal is particularly effective for liquids with specific properties, such as a high chloride content, temperatures above 65 °C or aggressive solvents.
A solution tailored to each project
Whether using mastic or elastomer sealing systems, APRO Industrie selects materials based on each customer's specific requirements. This tailored approach ensures that our sealing systems deliver optimal performance, even in the most challenging environments.
