Mastic Sealing
APRO Industrie provides sealing solutions using mastic or elastomer gaskets to meet specific requirements relating to the nature of stored liquids. In this system, the metal shell of the tank plays a dual role, providing structure while ensuring sealing in combination with the gasket. This process is particularly suitable for tanks where the steel or its coating is in direct contact with the liquid.
- Increased tolerance to stress
- Optimal sealing
- Resistance to extreme chemical environments (acidic or alkaline pH)
- Excellent performance at very low temperatures
- Dry seals, easy to install without additional products
How Mastic Works
Sealing with mastic involves applying a paste-like bead of mastic between the tank panels. As it dries, the mastic hardens through a process called polymerisation, forming a watertight barrier that can withstand mechanical and chemical damage. This type of seal is particularly effective for liquids with specific characteristics, such as a high chloride content, temperatures above 65°C or aggressive solvents.
A Solution Tailored to Each Project
Whether it is a mastic or elastomer seal, APRO Industrie selects materials based on each customer's specific requirements. This customisation ensures that our sealing systems deliver optimal performance, even in the most challenging environments.
